CAYO LOCO, though newly built for this it's first season, captures the "old" Bahamian beach house feel looking over the surf to maximize the views and ocean breezes. Step onto your gorgeous, private, crescent shaped Atlantic Ocean pink sand beach and stroll in either direction for miles. You may spend your entire visit here and never see another person on your beach. Our beach has indescribably clear turquoise water with a flat pink sand beach. It is a perfect swimming beach!!
CAYO LOCO means "crazy beautiful cay". It is very private and the only sounds you will hear are the surf crashing around you. Today, we swam with two beautiful dolphins for half an hour on our beach!! It was so special and awe-inspiring!! They knew we were a little afraid so they kept swimming away and coming back.....we told them to meet us back there tomorrow 'same time - same place'!! We went back with Jim and Jeanette, our first visitors in the new house, and we all swam with the dolphins....they frolicked with us and we had a snorkel and could hear them talking to each other.....they put on a 'show' for us flipping, twirling and spinning around together!! Very special!!
CAYO LOCO is a very comfortable, casually elegant beach house with all the amenities necessary to make living on the beach a pleasure. Once you arrive, you may never want to leave but you can wander down the beach a few minutes to a lovely new beach club with a fabulous bistro, infinity pool with a swim-up bar, lounging beds and welcoming staff.
Spear fish on your reefs and bring back your lobster or grouper dinner. You've earned a nap in the hammock lulling between the palm trees but try to stay awake for star gazing on the deck when the sun goes down. Become "zimzala" - free-spirited and find peace with sand between your toes!
On your beach right off shore, you can fish, snorkel, walk for miles, kayak, beach comb, go shelling, play bocce ball, body surf, paddle board or just relax in the sun! CAYO LOCO is my private custom designed/built residence and is rented on a very limited basis. CAYO LOCO is located on a secluded, romantic sandy beach road.
